Goldfields School Uniform:
The wearing of a school uniform is compulsory. Uniform items are available from the school office.
Children can wear any combination of navy bottoms (shorts, skirts, trousers, sweatpants, skorts) – denim jeans should not be worn; Navy sweatshirt or polar fleece (with emblems – optional); Jade or navy skivvy/polyprop; Long sleeved jade polar shirt (with emblem); Short sleeved jade polar shirt (with emblem); Goldfields navy and jade sports singlet (with logo); Goldfields School sunhat (Aussie or bucket style) – purchase at the office; black or navy shoes or sandals; white, grey, navy socks or navy tights. Sports shoes/Sneakers which are limited to our predominant colours, (Black, or navy, with some teal, white or grey) can be worn. Whānau t-shirts, which can be ordered via the school office, are optional but can be worn on Fridays or during competitive school events.
As a Sunsmart School, it is compulsory for children to wear Goldfields School sunhats when outside in the sun during terms 1 and 4, and at other times of the year when it is considered necessary. This applies to all outdoor activities. Hats are available for purchase, from the school office. Sunscreen is available for children, to reapply as necessary. All adults on the school grounds are asked to be role models for children, in terms of covering up, and wearing sunhats.
